"The Baby-Faced Assassin" - as he's affectionally know played a massive part in Friday night's 10-point defeat at Scunthorpe.

On a slicker-than-average Scunthorpe circuit, Aarnio took four magnificent wins, and not as many who weren't there might have suspected, all from the gate as he had to hit home some fine and forceful wins, and all from the tough fifth race jacket position in the BTS Diamonds line-up.

It was the culmination, which many might see as a few years in length, of the diminutive Finn riding for his favourite UK club and stamping a decisive authority on the scoring which has been his dream that is now coming to fruition, even taking a fine Heat 15 win.

Diamonds team manager for the night, Roy Clarke, steered the Diamonds' ship carefully and said afterwards: "Tero was definitely the hero tonight for us with that cracking performance tonight with his four win included in a top 15+2 score, living right up to his "Baby-Faced Assassin" nick-name .

"We were close at times and I think we at least deserved one Shield point, as we were so close to that!

"All the lads rode their hearts out and Tero and Ludvig put in some excellent passes. Mattty Wethers was worth double what he scored, in fact all the team, even Dany Gappmaier and his one point, were riding out of their skins and deserve the credit for keeping it close against a the same team that restricted Redcar to 25 points just one weeks ago."

Perhaps the Diamonds have now reached the turning point when racing officially on away track.... fingers crossed!
