With Morris still on the side-lines for tonight's clash at Brough Park (6.30pm), which sees the Diamonds tackle the Scunthorpe Scorpions, again in the SGB Championship league with the home side desperately looking to re-group after the Cumbrian disaster.
Newcastle team manager George English said: "The less said about last night the better, but we have to regain some pride tonight and make sure we bounce back with a good home win, having said that as Scunthorpe are led by our former number one, Stevie Worrall it's going to be another hard-working 15 heats.

"They also come armed with one of the action-men of the sport, the always exciting Jason Garrity who has had some good races at Brough Park, so we cannot sit back and relax tonight. After last night losing is, believe me, not an option, and the lads know that in no uncertain terms."

The Scorpions also bring a thrilling new young Aussie in Jake Allen, top British youngster Josh Auty freshly back from injury alongside American Gino Manzares.
