Ashley impressed many in 2016 and his efforts mean he's a full Diamond in 2017.
Ash certainly had an adventurous season in 2016 with spells at Peterborough and Scunthorpe before coming in as a late season replacement for Lewis Rose in the Diamonds ranks.
His whole-hearted efforts and personality earned him many a fan at Brough Park and amongst those were the Newcastle Promotion who felt his 4.98 average was something with a settled place and Club he enjoyed could well be raised.
His average in his short time with the Diamonds of 6.33 bears this hope out. Ash doubled up for Cradley last season in the National League and was a real success there winning their Rider of the Year Award alongside Max Clegg.
British Under-15 Champion in 2009 he's actually rode for ten different clubs so far in his career and will still only be 22 at the start of the 2017 season.
