How do I use the online ticket office to purchase tickets for a meeting?
It's simply a case of following the instructions on the screen! You'll be asked for some details such as your name and email address, then you can choose what tickets you want, before making payment.
What payment options do I have?
All of our online payments are processed through PayPal. You can make payment through your PayPal account if you have one, or you can pay by debit or credit card.
Is the online ticket office secure?
Yes. Although the page where you choose your tickets is hosted on a non-secure server, we do not actually process or ask for any payment or card details at this stage. Your card details and payment information is only entered once you reach the fully secure servers of our payment processing agent, PayPal. No card or payment details are saved on Newcastle Speedway's servers at any time, nor do we retain such information at any stage.
When are tickets available to buy online?
Usually, tickets are available to purchase online up until 3pm on home race days. In some cases it may be necessary to close the online ticket office earlier, for example for earlier start times.
How far in advance can I buy tickets?
The online ticket office only allows for ticket purchases for the next home meeting, which is displayed on the ticket office page. We do not sell advance tickets for future matches because of possible fixture changes.
Will I receive printed tickets if I buy online?
No, you won't receive any actual tickets if you order online, because you won't need them. Once your order has been completed, your details are added to our online admissions system. When you arrive at the stadium, our online admission team will require the NAME in which you booked your tickets and may ask you to confirm the email address used. You don't need to take any printed documents or confirmations with you - as long as your order was placed successfully you will automatically be added to our system.
Why did I not receive an email confirmation of my order?
Email confirmations/receipts are automatically generated. If you have not received confirmation within a few minutes, we suggest you check your spam or junk folders in case the email had been incorrectly marked as spam by your provider. The other possibility is that you did not fully complete your transaction. When you made payment, you will have been given a confirmation page from PayPal, but you should follow the further instructions provided further down that page. This will provide a link for you to 'return to the site' at which point your order has been completed.
Postponed or abandoned matches:
What happens next?
There are different procedures in place depending upon at what stage the meeting was postponed. These procedures are explained below and apply ONLY to supporters who purchased their tickets ONLINE for the postponed or abandoned meeting.
POSTPONED - BEFORE THE START OF HEAT 1
If the match is postponed before the start of heat 1 then your admission will automatically become valid for the next single home League or Cup meeting.
•  If you CAN attend the next single home League or Cup meeting, then no action is required on your part. Your admission will automatically be carried forward.
•  If you CAN NOT attend the next single home League or Cup meeting, then your admission will be valid for any single home League or Cup meeting this season. You need to email online@newcastlediamonds.co within 48 hours of the postponement to advise which meeting you would like your admission transferred to.
ABANDONED - BEFORE COMPLETION OF HEAT 10
If the match is abandoned before the completion of heat 10 then you will be entitled to reduced admission for the next single home League or Cup meeting.
•  If you CAN attend the next single home League or Cup meeting, then you will be entitled to purchase tickets at a reduced rate. The online ticket office will automatically offer the facility to purchase tickets at the reduced price. Tickets must be purchased before the online ticket office closes for the next home meeting.
•  If you CAN NOT attend the next single home League or Cup meeting, then you will be entitled to purchase tickets for any one single home League or Cup match this season at a reduced rate. You need to email online@newcastlediamonds.co within 48 hours of the postponement to advise which meeting you would like your admission transferred to. When the online ticket office opens in the week leading up to your chosen meeting, we will send you a payment request for the balance due. This payment must be made before the online ticket office closes for that particular meeting.
ABANDONED - AFTER COMPLETION OF HEAT 10
If the match is abandoned after the completion of heat 10 then your admission will be deemed as used, in line with standard British Speedway policy, and no discounts or refunds will be offered.
Can I obtain a refund for online tickets?
It is a condition of entry that no monies will be refunded.
Do I need to have a PayPal account to use the online ticket office?
No. Although we use PayPal as our online payment processing agent, you do not need to have a PayPal account. At the payment stage you will be able to select to make payment through PayPal (by signing in to your account) or to make payment with a debit or credit card.
What if I arrive late?
The admission gates and turnstiles close at the advertised match start time. It is your responsibility to arrive at the stadium on time. Gates open one hour before the advertised match start time.
